Hi there! My name is Jon and this is my website. Some of you may remember me from my old site crankydoodle.com (where I blogged for about 5 years), but most people probably don’t know me at all so here are a few random facts about me (updated regularly!):

  • My favorite ice cream is pistachio almond. I prefer it on a sugar cone.
  • I love to shop. Yeah, a guy who likes to shop. It’s true. I even like to shop for groceries! Two of my favorite destinations for shopping are Target and Costco.
  • I tend to be able to see both sides of any argument, so I am often (self-) appointed as Devil’s Advocate.
  • My favorite things to drink are iced water, iced tea, hot tea, and ice-cold Coca-Cola. Coke is it - Pepsi’s shit! And yes, I can taste the difference.
  • I am of the opinion that bacon should be in a food group all unto itself. Because bacon is just that delicious.
  • My favorite color is black. No, it’s maroon. No black. Damn.
  • I love to cook, but I hate to bake.
  • I’m a fairly stereotypical Aries; but I do have a sensitive side too.
  • I’ve been told that I am funny, and I would agree with that assessment. No, I will not make you laugh on cue. Stop pressuring me!
  • When I was little I was so skinny that you could see my heart beating in my chest. Suffice to say that you can’t see that any more.
  • I don’t mind cleaning the bathroom, but I hate to vacuum.
  • I love carnivals, especially for the food. There’s nothing like greasy food and spinning rides to make for an interesting evening.
  • My Top 5 favorite US cities (in no particular order) are Seattle WA, Boston MA, Las Vegas NV, San Francisco CA, and Annapolis MD.
  • In 2005 I discovered and subsequently fell in love with the Blues. Buddy Guy is an amazing blues guitarist, and you should see him play if you get the chance.
  • I am very musical by nature and I currently play the guitar and drums. The Fender Telecaster is currently my favorite guitar, and if I were to buy a drum set tomorrow it would be a DW. But chances are I am not buying a drum set tomorrow.
  • By day I am the Web Development Manager and a Senior Web Developer for a software company. By night I am an aspiring screenwriter and avid game enthusiast (board, computer, card, RPG… it doesn’t matter to me). By 4AM I am sleepy.
  • You might be thinking to yourself, “Well if you’re a Web Developer, why didn’t you create your own template/theme for this website?”. Good question. The short answer is: because I have a wife, a life, and 3 small boys. But I am working on one, I just don’t have a lot of reasons (or time) to finish it (yet). :)
