I’m making my way into the realm of electric guitars, boys and girls. Today I put an Ibanez GAX-70 and a Marshall MG30DFX on lay away at my local Ted Brown Music store. Oh, but it sounds so nice, and all that distortion is so forgiving when put against my novice playing. I can’t wait to bring them home and love them forever!

Today a small wish was granted to yours truly… I met porn star/legend/icon Ron Jeremy. Some friends of mine and I strolled down to our local Castle Superstore and actually met “The Hedgehog” himself. It was a good time.. he’s just as funny and personable in person as he is on T.V. or on film.

Me and the boyz meet The Hedgehog, Ron Jeremy.

Apparently up to 35 new episodes of the Family Guy will be created, according an article in Yahoo News. Awesome news… simply awesome! I’ve heard that part of the reason for it’s return were the incredible sales of the Family Guy DVD, which I must say I am a proud owner of, and I highly suggest you pick the DVD’s up as well.

Family Guy

The Family Guy is one of the smartest animated shows to ever grace the airwaves, and having the show come back to T.V. renews my faith in the television viewing public.

Vietnam Vet needs help.

Keepin’ it real… real funny. I’d drop in a buck just because he’s honest.

Congratulations to Peter Jackson and the whole LOTR cast and crew!!! Not only because the entire series deserves it, but this way the millions of geeks around the world waiting pensively in book stores and game stores alike, such as myself, wouldn’t have to hunt down the members of the Academy and whoop some ass! I believe todays strip of my favorite webcomic, PVP, sums it up best with their faux newscast in regards to last nights LOTR Oscar sweep.

Highlights of the show, for me, are as follows:

  • When Denise Roberts gave her acceptance speech for winning the Foreign Language Film category for “The Barbarian Invasions” and she began with: “We’re so thankful that ‘Lord of the Rings’ did not qualify in this category.”.
  • Annie Lennox performing of “Into the West” for the Lord of the Rings: Return of the King soundtrack.
  • Jack Black and Will Ferrell singing the “lyrics” to the move-it-along music at the Academy Awards. Brilliant!
  • Andrew Stanton, in his speech for winning Best Animated Feature Film for “Finding Nemo”, when he said: “… And to my wife, Julie. I wrote it to you in a note in eighth grade, now I can say it in front of a billion people. I love you.”.
  • And, of course, Lord of the Rings making Oscar history by being the 3rd film (”Ben Hur” and “Titanic” being the first two) to sweep the Oscars with 11 wins.

There were a lot of films I didn’t see this year, like “Mystic River“, “Lost In Translation“, and “Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World“, so it looks like I’m going to have to make a trip to Amazon.com’s Oscar section to pick up some films.
